| I'm planning on buying 5 bronze memberships for the up-coming season. The reason being, I can make the club a little money from away fans.....
I have got the interest from Away fans and intend to sell them the ten tickets at £12.50 each (£25 for two) all agreed with the people interested. Bearing in mind, these people woulddn't pay the £21 full price
I've also got 5 people interested in buying the membership card off me - as it saves £25 off an MOT plus discounts at xscaope - at £30 each.
From my £250 I've made £275
Making me a little pocket money, making the club an extra £250
Ask around guys, see if this is some little venture you could get in on! Good for all parties

| Forgive me for asking but: I've not got a bronze so don't know. But won't the tickets and membership both have the same name on.
This said, I have already put forward the idea of an away version without all the Cas attire and in co-operation with other clubs. Not big on profiteering from it, though.

| well I need to cover my own expense thats all. everyone is profiting really.
I've not got them all against my name.
I aren't sure on the moral values but I can't see who's losing out - hence I thought I'd pool opinions here really

I am a bronze member and the tickets don't have names on them, they are just vouchers that have to be swapped for tickets at the shop or the ticket office in the ground, so I don't think this will be a problem.

| I aren't really trying to make money out of it - other than for the club. It just happens that it'll make what, 5 quid per membership??? It's not that immoral really. I aren't gonna pack in work for it lol.
It's the only ay I could think to generate mamberships. If we can all buy one to sell on for away fans - it'd double our sales.
Immoral or not? ultimately all I'm doing is going into the shop for other people (that's how I'm justifying in it for Santa's purpose)

| What ever you do with the tickets is up to you the club has put it's price on the tickets & they have made the money on sales, for me it's good to hear that you have made the club £250, it's all extra cash & i dont think the club will be unhappy if you make a fiver for every fifty quid you get them

| when you consider it, the potential value of a £50 bronze membership is worth at least £67 (tickets and MOT)
but with the merchandise and savings all over the area, you could be £100 better off by the end of the year easily.
To say I'm selling every £50 of products i buy for £55 - I'm hardly running a Ponzi scheme

| I wasn't criticising it in a sense. I am sure the club would love it if you could sell another 2500 through your scheme and help us get to 5000. However, I like to take the high moral ground on things like this. I would also point out, however, that for every new member you refer you get points on your membership to use so you could not profiteer and earn money back that way.

| no no I know that fully. As I say the membership is such great value that it's hard to not make anything on it - bearing in mind I could've sold the tickets at £20, but I'm gonna give both away at £25.....
I'm not even planning on taking the merchandise in the goody bag out of the shop
I'm not out to make any money as such. I'm getting £50 for the club that they wouldn't have had otherwise, and a fiver for myself. It's not even two pints most places.
I can see why you may think it's immorral but, I'm not abusing the membership system to such an extent.
The people who want the tickets wouldn't come for £21 each. I just don't see who is actually losing out.
When you consider WTW have been going into schools and handing junior memberships out for a fiver.... if the opportunity is there to boost numbers a little then I'm happy to trial it

I dont know where you get your information from but this is incorrect, Wakefield have been going round junior schools and secondary schools in the wakefield area markerting there junior memberships not selling them for 5 pound.

You do not have to make any money out of it, if as you say you are doing it for the club then why dont you simply donate any money you make to the club, nothing immoral about that
