Yes I am a KR but I just don't get the bitterness regarding the whole Dobbo/Mason debacile.
Why are RL Fans in general up in arms regarding what is going on?
I fully understand the whole quota place regarding this but our board asked a question to the powers that be and they said go for it.
I understand our youth system is no where near the far more established teams (it's easy to forget most teams had ten years of full time when even as lately as 2004 ours were training in a car park) yet I do not buy into the whole Rovers should be a conveyor belt for the International team as I pay to see Rovers succeed not England.
Most of all what I don't get is why is it ok for Hull FC to get rid of two young English lads and sign to Aussies.
Why is it most people believe Saints will go for Dobbo now young English Eastmond is on his way but that's fine.
Why is it people forget the English/British signings like Murrell, Cooke, Cockayne, Steele, Fox, Briscoe most of whom were regarded as either not good enough for SL or surplous to requirement.

Personally, I believe that Hull KR have done nothing wrong as they haven't broken any rules but I do believe that the RFL have made it hard for themselves and shouldn't have let it happen as it seems unfair and bending the rules.

In my opinion it's the RFL's fault not Hull KR's

because most of them are green with envy that we have signed a world class player and they have not simples

I remember when we signed Andrew Johns over here, de registered Graham Appo (who was out of contract end of the year anyway) and paid him off. It was frowned upon then, its frowned upon now because simply put: If it doesn't happen in football why should we be any different?

If he is out of contract at the end of the year it's not to bad but I think the reason it has been frowned upon at Hull KR is that they intend to re-register Dobson.

Maybe I think different to other fans but I could not wait for a player of Johns calibre to be playing in Super League just as I thought with Mason.

The thing with that is and although I agree Rovers asked the RFL if it was ok and they said yes. Obviously Mason could get in the country at this point but could not play so surely if they could Rovers were smart to both ask the question and do what they did.
If Sunday is anything to go by Rovers were 600 fans up on the corisponding fixture last year which was at the end of may(better weather) if that trend continues before Dobbo is back they will be roughly £60,000 better off on gate reciepts alone.
To be self sustaining as both the RFL and other clubs want us to be then surely it was the right thing to do?

to the op origanal post, i think it is down to your clubs over use of southern hemisphere players that irk fans so much, the mason affair has just added more to it
