According to League Express, a chairmen's meeting at Haydock last week are proposing a 13 team Superleague next season with Hull KR included and then 14 in 2019. There's even a picture of Ian Lenighan's note book mentioning this and also saying Widnes/Leigh jeopardy whatever that means!!

Imagine a 13 team league wouldn't be just the 12 current teams plus Hull KR. Especially given the position of London and Toulouse.

But also doubtful that anything major will change next season, given no vote till the end of next season.

I agree, whatever happened or happens in the future or at Haydock Park last week I can't see anything changing till the end of the 2018 season, but I think we will survive the middle 8s anyway, because Cokey told me we will.

The RFL change the rules all time to suit themselves. I agree with promotion and relegation as you can be the best team all season and still not go up with the current system we got and also be the worse and still stay up all this is for extra games and extra revenue to line their own pockets if the system not broke then don't fix it

The plan also seems to include keeping Bradford in the Championship, with 13 in that division next year and expanding to 14 in 2019.

13 won't work unless they scrap magic weekend and summer bash.

Once we add in Daniel Mortimer (due in before we fly out to Catalan) together with the Imminent arrival of young Langi from Penrith to the squad, then I think we will be staying up regardless of league structure but there you go.

Langi will arrive before Mortimer. Will be interesting to see if he makes the squad for the Catalans game.

Who would be making way for two mid season overseas signings? We have one who has hardly featured, but rest of the non-fed players are first team regulars.

Perhaps Weston, Maybe it’s in both his and the clubs interest that he goes home early?

Or maybe we aren’t signing both?

Or maybe one of them has a European passport?

I believe it is Weston (along with Tonga) who we are looking at to make way, however I understand he is not of the same opinion as the coach and owner, and wishes to see the season out - be interesting to see how it all pans out
