He played a fair number of games for Widnes at the start of last season, so you could ask their views for a 'neutral' opinion.
I don't think pressure will be an issue, he is a very calm player, with a quick pair of hands. He is more than capable of leading a side around the pitch, but don't expect to see him ripping the defence apart with darting runs. His goal kicking is exceptional, I would rate him above Bret Hodgson.
Personally I think this is a win win situation for both clubs (and GOB of course).
