With the 24 man squad announcement for the Four Nations coming up, I thought we'd see what team we put together as a board. I'll be putting on different positions every so often with a shortlist to pick from. The squad will have 2 Full Backs, 3 Wingers, 3 Centres, 3 Halves, 2 Hookers, 6 props and 5 back rowers. If any players you'd like to pick aren't on the shortlist than please say.

For today we will do Full Backs, you have two votes on the poll and please indicate your order of playing preference in a post. In the case of positions on the bench starting spots will be allocated on preference.

=#FF0000I understand people will want players in different positions but I am doing this for a squad in which the players are likely to play. So please vote on the positions given rather than saying a player will play elsewhere. Even though I agree in most cases.

2. Zak Hardaker

Sam tomkins is a no brainer, I would also take ratchford as his versatility could turn out to be very important.

How much has Ratchford played at Full Back this year? If it's more than 15 games I'll throw him in there too.

I would personally prefer to see Tomkins at 6/7, largely because
a) I think Hardaker is a better defensive full back than him
b) I think Tomkins, even though he isn't a regular half back, is still better than most of the alternative options.

Whilst I completely agree with your sentiments, I'm trying to keep the squad in line with the positions players will probably end up playing if selected.

Would you play Tomkins over Hardaker if he couldn't be accommodated in the halves?

Both should play. Whether we do that by shifting Tomkins to the halves, or Hardaker to the wing. Both should be on the field.

Tomkins at fullback with Hardaker left centre for me and Matty Smith at 7.

Once again, I agree, however I'm trying to enter the head of McBanana and I can't see him doing that.

Why should both be on the field? I don't think we should boot out another player who plays in the correct position just to accommodate both.

With Tomkins at 6 with one of Smith/Widdop missing out.

Personally I think the top option is best as the half back options are better and we are playing players in their out and out positions. If Tomkins were injured then I'd have Hardaker at FB way before the likes of Grix and Eden who are just garbage.

I have gone Hardaker and Lomax as squad cover (is he fit by then?) Would play Tomkins in the halves.
